Seniors of St. Michael Parish – are you looking for a way to meet other seniors? Consider joining the parish senior group called The Livewires. The Livewires meet at the second Tuesday of every month from 12pm-2pm in Marian Hall. You bring a brown bag lunch and we’ll provide drinks (coffee/juice/water) and dessert and we spend those two hours getting to know each other and making friends. Sometimes there is a speaker or a special theme. Everyone is welcome and no dues are required, but a $1.00 donation to cover dessert/ game prizes is graciously accepted.
Some activities The Livewires have done in the past include: Mystery lunches, short trips (we car pool or bus rental), games with prizes after lunch. Trips taken include: Marion Theater (Marion, Ohio), Malabar Farm, The Wilds, Buckeye Lake, Alum Creek (Christmas lights), Utica “Velvet Ice Cream”, Casino (Hollywood/ Racino). Watch the church bulletin for information when these events are planned and look for the sign-up sheets that are on The Livewires bulletin board in Marian Hall about 2 weeks prior to the event. These are usually very popular events and space is sometimes limited.
Also, we have two special luncheons each years that include a wonderful catered meal, decorations and live entertainment provided by the St. Michael School Children. The dates are announced in the bulletin.
