St. Michael's Festival: A Worthington tradition since 1977

Well, actually, the first one was all the way back in 1946. It was stopped for about a decade between the 1960’s and 1970’s, but during the summer of 1977 parishioner Gene Krajnak presented a plan for a parish homecoming that fall. It was so successful that the tradition has continued to this day.

Supporting the mission of the Church

St. Michael Church has been a fixture in the community for 75 years. As our parish community has grown, so has our impact in the community. The festival brings our parish community together in serving the greater community, and in the process we teach our children the value — and joy — of volunteerism. The festival helps the parish with both capital expenses, and also in our mission of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
