Welcome to St. Michael the Archangel Religious Education! Here at St. Michael, we seek to provide a variety of religious education opportunities to meet the needs of your children and your family. It is our hope that though our classes and programs, that your children will experience the depths of God’s love and mercy, and come to a deeper understanding of the beauty of the Traditions and Doctrine of our Catholic faith.
Religious Education at St. Michael includes a number of programs (click on the links to learn more):
- Children and Youth Catechesis
- Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a wonderful opportunity for the children of our parish, grades K-4, to learn more about our Catholic Faith in a fun and interactive way! For one week during the summer, VBS participants play games, sing songs, and do crafts, and read scripture to teach the children the beauty of our faith and God’s sacred word.
- Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC) is the process by which Protestant Christians, unbaptized individuals, or Catholics who have not completed all their sacraments are welcomed into full communion with the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ. Children and teenagers participate in their own age-appropriate catechesis. RCIA and RCIC classes meet weekly; see the RCIA page for details.
- Adult Faith hosts programs to enrich our adult understanding and experience of our faith. Programs include bible studies, historical perspectives, video presentations, and guided group discussions.
