The St. Michael Women’s Group Invites you to Friendship by Candlelight
Focused on “Mary, Queen of Heaven.”
Date: Wednesday, September 12, 2018
Time: 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Location: St. Michael Church, Marian Hall
Featuring Fr. Thomas Blau, O.P. Parochial Vicar at St. Patrick Church, Diocesan Mission Preacher
The Women’s Group of St. Michael Parish is excited to sponsor for the second year a series of Candlelight evenings. Join us as we take time to reflect and experience a deeper understanding about Mary, Queen of Heaven, and the role she plays in the church and in your life through the talk given by Fr. Thomas Blau, O.P.
Fr. Thomas Blau is a member of the Dominican Order [Order of Preachers]. Fr. Thomas lived in Washington, D.C. at the Dominican seminary and completed various degrees [including the Licentiate in Sacred Theology/STL]. He was ordained in 1999. He is currently an itinerant preacher in the Diocese of Columbus with residence at St. Patrick Church/Columbus. You can expect a beautiful evening of fellowship amongst the peaceful ambience of candles. There will be time to visit with friends and enjoy delicious food before and after listening to Fr. Thomas.
This event is open to not only St. Michael parish women, as you can also invite friends or family to join you. There are three ways to attend: by hosting a table, by coordinating with a host, or by responding to the rsvp as an individual and then we will place you at a table with other wonderful women of the parish. Hosting entails inviting friends or family to make up a table of 8, decorating the table (please use candles or some other ideas are flowers, religious items, etc.), providing place settings for the table, and assigning attendees to bring an appetizer or dessert to share on a buffet table. Decorating the table will take place the day of the event with the available times communicated closer to the event with the host. Please RSVP as space is limited for this event by contacting Chrissy Wilson at [email protected] or 614-314-8482.
