This weekend is the 2nd Sunday of Advent. Advent is a time in which we are called to prepare, not only for the coming celebration of the Nativity of the Lord, but also for his Second Coming in Glory. Here are some things that are happening at St. Michael Parish:

  • The St. Vincent de Paul “Giving Tree” is set up as usual in Marian Hall. Buy a needed gift and leave it (unwrapped) in one of the boxes in Marian Hall. Please deliver gifts by December 15th at 10:45am.
  • “Await the King” Adult Faith Formation Wednesday, December 11th at 7pm in Marian Hall. Come join fellow adults for dinner, community, and formation on the season of Advent.
  • There will be an Advent Penance Service at the Parish on Sunday December 15th at 7:00pm. We will have several priests on hand that evening, so please be sure to take advantage of this time for your own spiritual renewal.
  • On Saturday December 14th at 9:00am we will begin the first phase of decorating the Church inside and outside. On Saturday December 21st at 9:00am we will put on the finishing touches in preparation for Christmas. Many have made this a joyful tradition their families. Why not make it one for yours as well? Hope to see you here!
