Community Life

There are many ways to get involved with the community here at St. Michael's for people of all ages! Check out ways you can get involved

Live Wires (Seniors)

Seniors of St. Michael Parish – are you looking for a way to meet other seniors? Consider joining the parish senior group, The Livewires. The Livewires meet on the second Tuesday of every month from 11:30pm-1pm in Marian Hall. You bring a brown bag lunch, and we’ll provide drinks (coffee/juice/water) and dessert. We spend this time getting to know each other and making friends. We often have one activity or game.

Everyone is welcome, and no dues are required, but a $1.00 donation to cover dessert is graciously accepted.

Watch the church bulletin for information when these events are planned about 2 weeks prior to the event. These are usually very popular events, and space is sometimes limited.

Also, we have two special luncheons each year that include a wonderful catered meal, decorations, and live entertainment provided by the St. Michael School children. The dates are announced in the bulletin.

For more information contact the parish office at (614) 885-7814.

St. Michael Athletic Association (SMAA)

The mission of the St. Michael Athletic Association is to provide high-quality athletic experiences rooted in Christian values to the students at St. Michael School & St. Michael Parish.

We offer opportunities for children of all ages to play a variety of sports including soccer, football, cross country, cheerleading, basketball, golf, track, softball, baseball & more! For more information about fees, registration and more, please visit http://www.smwarriors.com.

To volunteer to help with St. Michael athletics, or to get your child involved, please contact us at [email protected]

Boy Scouts & Cub Scouts

In Boy Scouts, boys 11-17 years old learn how to manage their own projects while helping their community. Their positive form of expression is exhibited in camping, hiking, and other healthful activities.

In Cub Scouts, boys age 6-11 learn lifelong skills in many areas. Our pack was chosen to serve as the Bishop’s Pack in 1998-99.

To “Rise Up Now!” and volunteer, or to get your child involved, please contact Rob Fann (Scoutmaster) Troop 123 or Gabe Woolum (Cubmaster).

Visit the Troop 123 website for more information.

Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts is open to girls in grades K-8 at St. Michael Parish. The mission of girl scouting is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who will make the world a better place. Girls in troops meet regularly to earn badges, go on field trips, learn leadership skills, and of course, sell cookies. To “Rise Up Now!” and become an adult volunteer, or to find a troop for your daughter to join, please contact Susan Bakhshi at St. Michael Girl Scouts.
