Preschool Director

Laura Wells is the director of St. Michael Preschool. She completed her BA of Arts with a major in English with a certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and Theology from Immaculata University, PA in 1991. In 2006, Our Sunday Visitor published A Marian Bible Study: Bringing Scripture to Life for Moms authored by Laura Wells. She has also received 60 hours professional development training in the Orton-Gillingham Phonics multi sensory approach from the Institute for Multi Sensory Education. Laura is also a catechist for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd level 1. Laura Wells holds a Ohio Department of Education Preschool-grade 3 teaching license with a grade 4, 5 Endorsement.

After marrying active duty Marine David Wells in 1991, she spent the next 26 years moving to a new duty station every two years with her husband and their three children. She taught, substitute taught, and volunteered in Preschools and Elementary schools at every duty station in CA, NC, VA, RI, MD, and Japan. After her husband retired from active duty in the Marine Corps, their family moved to Columbus and she has been the Preschool director and full time Prekindergarten teacher for St. Michael Preschool since 2016.
